Where do the exchange rates come from?
Rates are fetched from a free public exchange-rate service when you open the page and are cached in your browser for an hour. They are mid-market reference rates and will differ from what a bank or money changer offers.
Why does the converted amount show in words?
Many forms, such as foreign remittance requests and invoices, ask for the amount in words in the destination currency. The tool rounds the result to the currency’s minor unit and writes it out.
What if the rates cannot load?
If the service is unreachable the page falls back to approximate offline rates and says so on screen. Do not use those for a real transaction.
